There comes a time when one chapter of our life ends, and another begins. Every journey has a beginning and an ending, which is ultimately a transition from one journey to the next, so it goes.
The ending of an old year, which is also the beginning of a new year, is a good time to look back and reflect on what we’ve been through, and what we’ve learned in the process. We can take what we’ve learned and go forward with more wisdom.
A wise man once said a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step, or something to that effect. In the end, or beginning, it’s all just steps, one after the other. We’re all on this journey together.
If we could live the rest of our lives in appreciation, appreciating everything we have, everyone we meet, it would be enough. Appreciation allows for love, creativity, joy, and understanding to grow. Appreciate everything, and if you find it difficult, appreciate that.
In appreciation of what’s come and gone this past year, for the things that brought joy and celebration, to that which caused sorrow and pain, for lessons we’ve learned, and lessons that still need to be learned, in a spirit of appreciation let’s step into the future with hope, courage, wisdom, love, and compassion.
Let’s make today, and every day, a better day.
