Most of my adventures take place in my mind. Most of my day is spent wandering the catacombs and labyrinths of my imagination. I’m content to keep to myself, but I’m learning that it’s also enjoyable to share my ideas with other people. It’s just a matter of finding the right people.
If there’s anything I can easily talk about, it’s my neurosis. It’s been my constant companion, this nervous shadow. It’s been my friend, enemy, lover, devil. I’ve had a tempestuous affair with myself. Even now, it’s difficult to practice self-compassion, but I do it anyway.
Mindfulness is grace. The mind is a gift, though sometimes it feels like a curse. Anything is possible with the right mindset. Figuring out the best way to think about things is an individual experience. Ultimately, no one can give us peace of mind except our self.
Such responsibility today brings, such opportunity, so many lessons.
