I’ve got an hour before my postaday deadline, and since I don’t know who’s going to be reading this, I want to write about what’s true for me tonight.
One thing is that it was nice to get some rain. Now the frogs are out in full force, and putting on a symphony.
Another thing is that I really like Cat Power’s new album, Sun.
I’m also happy to say I’ve been consistently painting. It’s a paying gig, which makes me a professional artist, but whether I’m competent or not is something that will only get better with determination and patience.
Finally, for those of you who need it — and for my future self — remember to ignore the self-critical talk, and listen to the voice of self-compassion instead.
Maybe this is what the frogs are singing outside.
